It was in Chikmagalur that coffee was first cultivated in India. Rivers like Tunga and Bhadra have their sources in the mountains here which are part of the Western Ghats. Chikmagalur district also contains Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka.

Carved against a mountainous canvas this beautiful Malnad district is full of surprises. The hill stations, the waterfalls, the historical temples and the wildlife sanctuaries make this region a tourist paradise. It is alternatively spelled Chikkamagaluru, which literally means ‘The town of the younger daughter’ in the native Kannada language.

Day 1 :
HASSAN – CHIKMAGALUR

<p>Arrival at Hassan/Mysore/Mysore , Meet n greet at Railway Station or Airport, drive to Chikmagalur, Chikmagalur situated in southwestern part of Karnataka, it is nestled in the Baba Budan hills. Chikmagalur is a calm, serene town full of scenic surprises. Hills, valleys, streams and snow-white coffee blossoms are all here to woo.Evening free for the relaxation. Overnight in the hotel.</p>

Day 2 :
CHIKMAGALUR – BELUR – HALIBID SIGHT SEEING – SHIMOGA

<p>After breakfast, proceed to Belur & Halebid Temples. Belur was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire . The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex. With Halebid which is only 16 km away, Here there are two most famous architectural monuments of Hoysala times namely the Kedareshvara temple and the Hoysaleshvara temple.Evening proceed to Shimoga and overnight stay at the Shimoga Hotel.</p>

Day 3 :
SHIMOGA-JOG FALLS-MURDESHWAR

<p>After breakfast you will proceed for the grandest Karnataka waterfalls – Jog falls, created by the Sharavati river tumbling down from a height of 829ft. (253m) in four distinct cascades, known locally as Raja, Rani, Roarer, and Rocket. Regarded the highest waterfall in Asia, Jog falls is one of the major tourist attractions in Karnataka.Later proceed to Murdeshwar, which is considered as Kanya Kumari of Karnataka. After reaching check into the hotel,later visit the temple. Enjoy boat activity and water sports. Evening free time for relaxation.The rest of the Evening is at leisure to explore this beautiful city on your own.Overnight in Murdeshwar</p>

Day 4 :
MURDESHWAR-KOKARNA-DEVBAGH- KARWAR

<p>After breakfast drive to Karwar, a city brought about by the fusion of the Kali River and the Arabian Sea. enroute if possible visit Gokarna beach, Kudle Beach, Om Beach, Devbagh beach, on arrival check into the resort, later go for activities to explore…you can cruise up the Kali River from the point where river meets sea. Watch the dolphins as they gracefully dive into the azure waters.Overnight at Karwar Hotel.</p>

Day 5 :
DEPARTURE

<p>Morning Nearby local sightseeing, later proceeds to Karwar railway station, to board the Train for onward destination.</p>
